Yazoo Brewing Company Nashville

Like beer? There’s a ton of great Tap Rooms in Nashville where you’ll find hundreds of beers lovingly waiting to be poured for you. Among the local favorites are the varieties of Yazoo Brewing Company, a local Nashville brewery.

Yazoo Brewing Company opened in October 2003, selling kegs of Yazoo Pale Ale, Dos Perros, Spring Wheat, and Onward Stout to local bars and restaurants. Yazoo quickly gained an enthusiastic  following. (Spring Wheat was replaced with Hefeweizen after winning a Gold Medal at the 2004 Great American Beer Festival.) In 2005 Yazoo started bottling beers.

In 2009, Yazoo developed and released Tennessee’s first ever legal high-gravity ale, Yazoo Sue.

After six years, Yazoo had outgrown their original brewery, and in 2010 they moved into a building at 910 Division Street, in the heart of the Gulch District.

Yazoo also revived Gerst beer, a brand that was a Nashville legend before Prohibition.

Yazoo beer can now be found virtually everywhere in Tennessee, Mississippi, and northern Alabama.

Visit Yazoo Brewing Company for a sampling of their fine beers. Our favorite? ‘Hap and Harry’s’. Cheers!
